In school-age children, the&nbsp;manifestations of stuttering are frequently associated not only with speech-motor&nbsp;difficulties but also with emotional and volitional characteristics. Anxiety, fear of&nbsp;speaking, emotional tension, insecurity, reduced self-confidence, heightened&nbsp;sensitivity to evaluation, and avoidance of communicative situations may&nbsp;significantly influence the quality and rate of speech.
