THE IMPACT OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM ON THE ECONOMY
Abstract
Sustainable tourism has become an essential approach for balancing economic
development with environmental protection and social responsibility. The rapid
growth of the tourism industry has significantly contributed to global economic
development; however, uncontrolled tourism activities may cause environmental
degradation and socio-economic imbalance. This study examines the impact of sustainable tourism on economic development using the IMRAD structure. The research analyzes how sustainable tourism practices contribute to employment generation, regional development, environmental conservation, and long-term economic stability. The study also explores challenges and opportunities associated with implementing sustainable tourism strategies. The findings show that sustainable tourism plays a crucial role in promoting inclusive economic growth while preserving natural and cultural resources for future generations.
