THE IMPORTANCE OF STUDENTS' SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING
Abstract
This article comprehensively analyzes the impact of developing social and emotional learning (SEL) skills among higher education students on their overall well-being, mental health, and academic performance. The study elucidates students’ mechanisms for stress management, social adaptation, and responsible decision-making through the five core components of SEL. The findings indicate that integrating SEL programs into higher education curricula is of strategic importance in improving students’ quality of life and preventing cases of psychological burnout.
