Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the role of foreign languages in the life of modern individuals. It examines the historical aspects of language development, their importance in education, professional activity, intercultural communication, and personal development. Special attention is paid to the impact of globalization on the spread of foreign languages and their role in shaping a competitive personality. The article also analyzes modern methods of language learning and their effectiveness. It concludes that knowledge of foreign languages is a necessary condition for successful integration into the global community.
