DETERMINATION OF THE ELEMENTAL COMPOSITION OF A COMPOSITE HERBAL PRODUCT USING THE ICP-OES METHOD

Abstract

This study evaluates the elemental composition of a composite herbal product comprising Prunus dulcis (stem bark), Eriobotrya japonica (leaves), and Calendula officinalis (flowers) to assess its therapeutic potential and safety. Quantitative
analysis of macro, micro, and toxic elements was performed using Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) on a PerkinElmer Avio 200 system following microwave-assisted acid digestion.
