THE IMPACT OF HEART DEFECTS ON THE COURSE OF PREGNANCY

Among extragenital pathologies, heart defects are the leading cause of maternal
mortality. This review article presents current data on the impact of heart defects on
the course of pregnancy. Information from Russian-language research literature was
processed and analyzed using the electronic search systems cyberleninka.ru and
eLIBRARY in the international Scopus database for the period 2020–2025.
