This article examines theoretical and conceptual approaches to the
integration of language and methodology in pre-service English teacher education.
In modern teacher education, it is essential to ensure the interconnection of linguistic
competence and methodological competence, since effective teaching requires not
only a good command of the language but also the ability to apply appropriate
teaching methods in real classroom contexts. The study highlights the importance of
an integrated approach in preparing future English teachers and discusses the
pedagogical foundations of combining language development with professional
methodological training. The article also analyzes the role of this integration in
enhancing the professional competence, reflective thinking, and practical readiness
of pre-service teachers. As a result, the paper emphasizes that the integration of
language and methodology serves as an important basis for improving the quality
and effectiveness of English teacher education.
