MEASURES TO CONTROL COTTON PESTS: MODERN APPROACHES TO SUSTAINABLE CROP PROTECTION
Abstract
Cotton is one of the most important agricultural crops and plays a significant role in the economy of many countries. However, the productivity and quality of cotton are often reduced by various insect pests that damage different parts of the plant throughout the growing season. Effective pest management requires the integration of biological, cultural, mechanical, and chemical control methods while ensuring environmental sustainability. This article discusses the major cotton pests, the damage they cause, and modern integrated pest management strategies that help protect cotton crops, improve yields, and reduce environmental risks.
