This article covers the theoretical and practical foundations of integrating research activities in the biological education process, the content, and mechanisms for developing students' research competencies. The article also reveals interdisciplinary integration based on observation methods, experimentation, and projects in the development of students' research activities. Methodological recommendations aimed at developing students' research skills have been provided.
